Happy Birthday to Deb Anderson!!!!!

OK first day for both Lee and I to be retired...we are still talking to each other hehehe.
Lee is making phone calls and confirming all the address changes and appts. there in Tenn. We both need to go and sign papers and get our final checks from our past jobs. Well I need to get off my butt and get going with one thousand things to do so I will talk to y'all later.

Shelia's first week of retirement

Lets see Monday, March 24th Brianna and I had lunch with the kids birth great grandmother then Bri and I went to the movies and saw College Road Trip, very cute. Tuesday, March 25th my sister Kathy, her son Dylan, Brianna and I went to lunch and then went to the movies and saw Horton Hears A Who, Wednesday, March 26th went to lunch with best friend Pam and her two daughters Danielle and Alisha, and her son Cole and then went shopping. Thursday I stayed home and got Star packed for our week-end Rally. At the Rally we ate, partied with friends, ate and partied with friends. As you can see I am doing a lot of eating...OH BOY I need to stop doing that other wise I will not be able to get into any of my summer clothes.
Moving....I am very excited about our move but at the same time very sad. I want to take my family and friends with us. I start crying every time I start thinking about not being able to hug my family and friends, I am one of those touchy feely people. OK I need to stop and dry the eyes.

Last Calif. Rally

Well we are both now retired and on our way to getting ready for our adventure to Tennessee. We attended our last Californian rally for a while. It was a great time with plenty of food and friends. We can now focus on getting ready for our garage sale this coming weekend and working towards the following weekend packing the trailer with our "STUFF". We are going to shoot for a departure of April 14th or 15th (Tax Day) from here. We want to be in Tennessee by the 21st. Alex is in Germany for 2 to 4 weeks (or longer) so when we go through Oklahoma he may not be there but we are going to contact Stephanie )his GF) and perhaps spend a little time with her and then we will be on our way. We have so many things to do in the first few weeks of our retirement it is going to seem like we are on vacation instead of being retired... We have decided that both Shelia and I are going to work at this blog. (per request) so from now on we will be signing our posting so you will know who is typing.. Lee

Easter Sunday

Today we celebrated the Risen of Jesus and went to dinner at Shelia's Sisters house. Didn't do a heck of a lot just enjoyed the day a a 78 degree day... This coming week is my last week of work at the City. I was giving one heck of a retirement gathering last Thursday. I could feel the love in the whole room. There was about 80 people there and made me feel very loved... I am going out of the City on top and looking so forward to our up and coming move to Tennessee.

Shelia's last day

Well today was Shelia's last day at work... It was very nice they had a gathering with cake and punch. Lots of people came by to say "SEE YA LATER" it is obvious she will be missed and that she is loved by all. One more step closer...

Great Send Off Weekend

We had a gathering at Mark and Pams for the family and friends. It was kinda of a send off for us on our adventure. It was nice seeing all the family and friends. It is not going to be easy but I hope everyone understands. The thing is we will be back I am sure for visits and we hope that we will have people come and visit us. California is going to hell in a hand basket and it is getting way to expensive to live here anymore. Us moving to Tennessee means we can enjoy our retirement at a early age. We love you all and I would hope you all know that....

Three More Alarm Clock Mondays

Woooo Hooooo It's a wonder I can sleep at all with so many things going on. This past weekend there was a lot of snow in Tennessee. But I guess all weather the storms well...... I emptied the storage also so now we have to really buckle down and do some purging. I have about 15 boxes of nothing but Alex's stuff I guess I will put in storage and then he can deal with it.... Hope this finds everyone doing good.

Another Week Gone By

Well we are 7 days closer. Got quite a bit done last week. We bought a camera and downloaded Skype so we can video talk to some family and friends who have the same. Kathy has one and so does a friend from work. We decided against buying the mower and will wait until we move and check them out there. Yesterday we went to storage and got some boxes of stuff and went through some of them and put some more stuff aside for the garage sale. Also I listed some things on Craigslist and sold them to a couple starving college students. LoL. The rally at the end of the month is going to be huge should be fun though. It will be the last time we see some of these people and it will be hard to say see ya later. The SAL rally was awesome (encase I didn't say it earlier) Judy and Ray are awesome friends and puts on one heck of a rally.
