Didn't Happen (Storm)

Well it never happened. The storm was kind of a let down. We got a little rain and some wind nothing close to what they were predicting. But I guess thats OK. Shelia and I went to Lowes today to look for appliances for the house in Tennessee. We found what we would like and now I have to do some surfing and see if maybe Sears can beat Lowes price. We also looked at a riding lawn mower that just might work. Shelia and Brianna can use it while I set and watch. ha ha ha... OK I'll do the trimming while they do the cutting. This should be interesting stay tuned for news at 11:00..Not sure how many Mondays I have left but I know it's less then 10...

Jon and I redid the laptop (wipe and reload) and everything seems to be good...

Getting Ready for a Stormy Weekend

We are in for a Stormy Weekend so says the weather man. I would love to be a weather man and have a job that you can be 80% wrong and make good money... Ha ha ha... We went to talk about our retirement with ICMA differed comp and got all kinds of information and then I went to my retirement people and I need to go see them next week and finalize everything. Shelia's is already set up. Now all we have to do is wait for "THE DAY". I also called AFB (the trucking company) and confirmed that the truck will be here on April 10th.

SAL Rally

Oh what a great weekend we just had. The people the food the games the times of sitting around doing nothing. Horse Shoes, Bingo, watching the kids make jewelry with the beads. Watching the Deer and the Squirrels Play. Standing around BS,ing. The weather was real nice (in the 60's) The last couple days it was foggy in the morning but it cleared off to be wonderful. Judy did such a great job planing the events.... Of course she will talk about the help she got (which she did) but she is the person that started it all and kept it on schedule.... Big Thanks to Judy.....

Nice Day Here

We are going to a RV Rally at San Antonio Lake in Monterey County.

Today we leave for SAL. It should be wonderful weather. We will be there until Tuesday. This is our last SAL rally until we move so we are going of make the best of it.. Should be a good time as it always is with friends and fellow RV"ers......

Great Weekend Weather

It was in the mid 60's for the whole weekend. Got the car all washed (it needed it really bad) also washed the Motor Home getting it ready for next weekend. We are going to a RV Rally at San Antonio Lake in Monterey County. I did a couple posting on City-Data asking questions about Tennessee and got some pretty good answers.

Tornados Hit Tennessee

Well Major Tornado's hit about 20 miles east of our house. Our house is fine but many lost their lives and the damage was extensive. It is the fact of life and it is something that we are going to have to live with the only thing we can do is have a plan and use it. We will talk about what we should do and practice. We will be in The Lords has and he will provide for us. Yes it is risky and we will deal with what we are handed....

Nasty Weather

There have been some nasty weather going through Nashville and Ky. From what I can see is it missed Portland. They are saying on the weather channel that this is very unusual. We have never been through anything like this before and we already have a plan.. Spend time in the bathroom (it is in the middle of the house) LoL..... Can't help but wonder what our house looks like...

New Week

Today I turned in my notice to retire on March 28th. I added a weather feature to the top of this Blog that shows the weather in Portland Tennessee. (I hope it works.)

This last weekend we worked a little on the storage getting stuff out and going through it AGAIN. I sold the full size bed and a full Size Mattress on Craigslist. It is getting closer and closer to moving. Are we excited yet? Yes and No. I also need to buy a camera so Shelia and Kathy can talk on line and see each cry.... LoL..... Have a safe and Sane week

Busy Day

Today is gonna be busy. I have placed a couple adds on Craigslist trying to sell a full size mattress and a full size complete and got several responses. Now to wait and see if they show up and pick them up. I want to go through some boxes and get ready for a huge garage sale on April 5th. Because the very next week is the week we pack and move. Our projected Date to leave California is April 15th. (Sorry if I repeat myself but you know me I forget stuff). I heard yesterday that a good friend (Cal from our RV rallies) is in the hospital with a Blood Clot on his lungs. Lets keep him in our prayers.
