4-29 In Nashville

Well we have not posted here in a while. Brianna Shelia and I have been here in Tennessee 2 years and we have not spent the day in Nashville as Tourist. So while Brianna is at TRC Shelia and I went wild. Wooooo Hooooo hahahaha.... We started today at 10am heading down the ridge heading to Nashville. Our first stop was Centennial Park where The Parthenon is located this a full blown replica of the one in Greece. The pictures do not do it justice. We next traveled towards Music Row. (Note the Building with the two antennas it is nick named "The Bat Building") We walked Broadway and got to hear the live music. We had GREAT BBQ at Jack's right there in the middle of Music Row. After lunch we went to "The Ryman Theater" (which is the original Grand Ol Opry). We ended our day there at around 3:00. We never made it to "The Country Hall of Fame" We will have to do that another day..... Click to make it bigger...

Here we go

Well we have been busy since we got home. Lee has been doing stuff to Kermit and I have been busy doing house stuff. WOW we thought we were in the Alfred Hitchcock movie "The Birds". For some reason we are being attached by birds. Every night they fly over and I mean there are thousands of these black birds and they flock to the trees behind our house. It is so noisy and messy. The City of Portland says this is normal but we sure don't remember them being here last year. Well we may have buyers for the house. Our Realtor is running everything today so we will see. If they are not able to buy right now we may let them rent until their credit score is high enough. Lots of stuff to think about. I hate not knowing what is going on for those who know me know I am just a "control freak" but this is out of my hands and in the Lords hands. Well we are going to go see "Alice in Wonderland" today will let you know what we think of it. Everyone have a great day.

Miss Piggy please

Well we made it to California and back but not with the fifth wheel that we left TN with. We had a great time at the SAL Rally. It was great seeing all of our friends and meeting new ones. Well we came home with a 38' Holiday Rambler. I have told Lee this is the last one we are getting too old to keep changing rigs. Today we are having snow flurries. Our new rig is named Kermit, Lee is the Cookie Monster, Bree wants to be Snuffleupagus and I am Miss Piggy. Jill I know you wanted me to be Abbie but I really have always be a BIG fan of Miss Piggy. She is in total control of things even if it is only in her world. We got home to find our home in good shape and maybe an interested buyer. We will need to wait and see how their credit score is. We checked out Fernley, no like but we did fall in love with Sparks. Lots of shopping and medical and nice housing developments. I am hoping we can go out and have dinner with Bree tomorrow night. She WILL be coming home this week-end I have already told Lee that Bree and I are going to have a daughter and mother Saturday. I LOVE THE MOTOR HOME. Sorry but we are not fifth wheel people. The ride going out took us 6 days and we were so worn out it only took us four days to get back to TN. and we were in a lot better shape. OK the snow is getting heavier and I need to go to Wal-Mart and get food so bye for now.

Rain Rain go away come again after we have left

Well we made it to Pacific Coast Village RV Park in Pismo Beach, California on Monday. We love it here. When we arrived it was beautiful about 65 degrees bright blue sky with white puffy clouds that if you stared at them you could make all kinds of things out of them. We got set-up and got our laundry done and went to town to have some great clam chowder soup at Splash. We each had a bread bowl in was awesome. The soup in full of potatoes and clam and it is nice and thick and no grit. The we strolled around the area looking at stuff and got Bree a t-shirt. Well today is another story it started raining around 4:30 this morning and they are calling for rain all day. No bike ride around the park. Well Lee just braved the rain and went and got us each a huge Old West Cinnamon Roll so it is time to munch down. We will be heading to SAL tomorrow.

California Trip 2010

Well we left Portland, TN. at 10:15 am on Ground Hog Day, Tuesday, February 2nd. Thank you Lord we had no problems getting out of our drive-way or down our street. Last night we stayed at Sunset Travel Park in Cottondale, AL. Their score is a three. No bathroom/showers, mostly permanent dwellers and freeway noise. Tonight we are at Bonnie & Clyde Trade Days RV Park in Arcadia, LA. This one we give 5 1/2 because of the ducks in the pond. It is a big field that once a month it is a huge flea market. More to come as we travel west towards SAL.
